Gurgaon: In the first such exercise in the city,
antigen testing was conducted on 50 people on Wednesday. All the results returned negative.
The tests were done at the
malaria office in
Jacobpura. They will be held at a community centre in Kadipur on Thursday.
“We will now be able to detect Covid patients early with this method of testing. The kits will first be used areas where there has been a big outbreak,” CMO Virender Yadav said.
Two lab technicians, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram members and doctors supervised the testing. The
health department plans to carry out 20,000 tests by the end of this month.
