Pune: Man held for raping 11-year-old daughter

Over the last many years, there has been an increase in the rape cases reported in our country. Though after the infamous Nirbhaya rape case, a number of laws were enforced for the protection of women, the number of heinous acts continue.

In a recent case reported at Pimpri Chinchwad, a man was arrested for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at Dehu Road, said the police.

According to reports, almost 4 years ago, the same man was arrested for raping his elder daughter. This incident was reported in the Hadapsar area and he was recently released from jail.

"The young daughter's rape came to light when she was taken for a medical check-up by her mother," a police official told a media publishing company.

Apart from the laws, activists all around the world have also been working to improve the condition of victims of domestic abuse and rape.
