Covid-19 crisis: Mumbai’s friends’ duo providing free oxygen cylinders to patients

Mumbai, June 24 (ANI): Two friends are providing free oxygen cylinders to patients in Mumbai amid coronavirus pandemic. Shahnawaz Hussain and Abbas Rizvi have become corona warriors as they are helping the patients free of cost during emergencies. They began their service on June 10 through a social media campaign. Till now, they have provided around 250-300 oxygen cylinders to the patients. The duo is helping people of all communities without any discrimination. While speaking to ANI, Shahnawaz Hussain said, “Till now we have provided around 250-300 cylinders. Anybody can take cylinders from us if they have a prescription from a doctor.” Another friend Abbas Rizvi added, “One of my relative who was 6-month pregnant passed away due to lack of oxygen support. It was then that we realised what kind of problem people are facing in getting oxygen support. Shahnawaz also sold his SUV car to meet the growing demand for cylinders.” There are 61,807 active cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra.
