Karnataka’s cricketers officially returned to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium after over 3 months. Over two dozen players, including state team regulars, turned up at the stadium for medical tests. Among them were Karun Nair, R Samarth, Shreyas Gopal and Ronit More. The state players centrally contracted by the BCCI will have to wait for the go-ahead to resume operations before they are assessed. To enforce Covid-19 protocols, players were divided into groups and assigned a time slot for the routine examinations. The players are likely to be put through fitness and conditioning drills during the week.
