Sydney school to close after confirmed COVID-19 case
A primary school on Sydney's lower north shore will close on Thursday after a positive COVID-19 case.
A note on Lane Cove West Public School's website on Wednesday night said the school was "temporarily non-operational". "This school will temporarily cease operations due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus)," it said.

A NSW Education spokesman said the school was working closely with NSW Health to establish close contacts.
"Students will continue to be supported through existing learning from home arrangement while the school remains closed for cleaning on Thursday," he said.
Government school students in NSW returned for on-site learning on May 25 after nearly two months of remote learning.
However, a number of public and private schools have since temporarily closed after members of the school community tested positive for COVID-19, including Laguna Street Public School, Rose Bay Public School, Moriah College, Waverley College, St Ignatius College, Riverview and Warragamba Public School.
There have been 3159 confirmed COVID-19 cases in NSW and 48 deaths.
