Massive fire breaks out at GIDC factory in Gujarat’s Sanand, 27 fire tenders at spot

A massive fire has broken out at a factory in the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) in Sanand area of Ahmedabad. 27 fire tenders have rushed to the spot as the massive blaze raged over the buildings.

A massive fire has broken out at a factory in the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) in Sanand area of Ahmedabad. 27 fire tenders have rushed to the spot as the massive blaze raged over the buildings.

Fire-fighting operations are underway at the factory in Sanand. No casualties have been reported so far even as the fire continues to rage.

ANI quoted KT Kamariya, Ahmedabad SP (Rural) as saying, “As raw material inside the factory is flammable so it has become to control the fire. I have been told by a representative of the factory that the fire broke out due to short circuit. No casualties have been reported.”

The fire broke out at a plastic factory in GIDC. As the huge flames spread, nearby factories were evacuated.

Apart from the 27 fire tenders, fire bridges from other parts of Ahmedabad have also reached the spot.
