Shooter on the run after man gunned down in Kew driveway
A man is in hospital after being shot in his driveway in Melbourne's inner east on Tuesday evening, with police hunting for the person responsible.
The victim was in the driveway of the Valentine Avenue property in Kew when he was shot about 6.30pm, police say.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the man was taken to hospital in a stable condition with lower body injuries
No-one has been arrested over the incident.
The road was cordoned off in the hours after the shooting as police gathered evidence, but was open again by the morning.
Prestigious schools Xavier College and Trinity Grammar are located behind the Valentine Avenue home.
Police are investigating the circumstances around the shooting and have called for witnesses, or those with information to come forward.
