Ensure social distancing in barracks of security forces: UP CM to officials
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday stressed the need for strict compliance of social distancing norms in barracks of the Provincial Armed Constabulary and other security forces, an official release said. Directing officials to give a special attention to sanitisation in view of the rainy season, the chief minister said all necessary precautions should be taken to check the spread of communicable diseases.

Central team to visit Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana to bolster Covid-19 management efforts
A central team, led by joint secretary in the health ministry Lav Agarwal, will visit Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana between June 26 and 29 to coordinate with the state officials in strengthening Covid-19 management efforts in those areas, the ministry said on Thursday. According to officials, the team will also review the measures undertaken by the states for containment of Covid-19. Maharashtra has reported the highest number of cases at 1,42,900. Gujarat has recorded 28,943 instances of the viral infection while Telangana has so far reported 10,331 cases.

Railway stalls to sell coronavirus essentials to passengers
Coronavirus essentials like masks, gloves, sanitisers, bedroll kits will now be sold at the multi-purpose stalls at railway platforms, railway officials said Thursday.The stalls, run by private contractors, carry most items that travellers could require, like toiletries, books, medicines and packed eatables. The stalls will now also be able to sell essential items required to protect passengers from coronavirus infection, according to a set of instructions issued by the Railway Board.

Covid-19 pandemic has had an adverse impact on workforce in general and migrant workers in particular. A large number of migrant workers returned to several states. The challenge of containing Covid-19 was compounded by the need to provide basic amenities and means of livelihood to migrants and rural workers. Government of India announced the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Package to stimulate various sectors. In order to generate employment with thrust towards creating infrastructure in backward regions of the country Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan was launched on 20th June 2020.
