
Coronavirus India update, Banglore lockdown: Coronavirus cases in India have crossed 4.56 lakh mark even as lockdown measures are being strengthened in Karnataka’s Bengaluru, Guwahati and Chennai to check the rise in COVID 19 positive cases. In Karnataka, lockdown continues in parts of Bengaluru (Bangalore) by sealing the COVID 19 clusters areas. There are 458 containment zones in Bangalore now. The number of Coronavirus cases in Karnataka’s Bangalore has also gone after 107 new cases. Karnataka government has asked officials to increase fever clinics and swab collection centres. Meanwhile, state-run air-conditioned bus services will be resumed from June 25 with certain restrictions. In Delhi also, COVID 19 testing and screening have been ramped up. Guwahati is witnessing ward-based lockdown in the city. Tamil Nadu’s Chennai and some other cities are already witnessing lockdown imposed by the state government following the rise of COVID 19 cases.
India has recorded the highest single-day spike of 15,968 new COVID-19 positive cases and 465 deaths in the last 24 hours. In India, coronavirus positive cases stand at 4,56,183 including 183,022 COVID 19 active cases. So far, 258,684 COVID 19 positive patients have been cured or discharged or migrated. 14,476 people have died due to the highly contagious diseases, as per data shared by the Ministry of Health.
Around the world, over 92 lakh coronavirus cases have been confirmed. The worst affected countries are the US, Brazil, Russia, India, and the UK. More than 4.77 lakh people around the world have died due to the highly contagious Coronalvirus, according to the data released by Johns Hopkins University. The pandemic is also still on the rise in Brazil, where there are more than 1 million confirmed COVID-19 cases and almost 52,000 fatalities.
