The last date for payment of dues by taxpayers/applicants determined under the Sabka Viswas (Legacy Dispute Resolution) Scheme, 2019, (SVLDRS) has been pushed to June 30.

Taxpayers/applicants who have been been issued SVLDRS-3 and have not yet paid the dues under the scheme have been asked to pay it on or before the due date, said a press release issued by Principal Chief Commissioner’s office, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, GST & CE, Chennai.

Penalties

Without payment of the amount determined under the scheme, the applicant will not be discharged from the tax, interest and penalty liabilities owed to the government. If the amount determined is not paid within the due date, the applicant’s position as a defaulter will be restored as existed prior to the start of the scheme and will lose all relief - tax relief of 40 per cent or 60 per cent - as the case may. The penalty proceedings related to prosecution before the appropriate Court will stand restored, the release said.

Tax payers/applicants are requested to pay the payment as determined under the scheme on or before June 30. There is no possibility of further extension of the scheme, the release said.
