A clear but warm night for many, as the short nights prevent temperatures falling very far. Perhaps the odd isolated patch of fog popping up. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Coronavirus experts on latest 'R number' estimate - and why it could become less reliable

The way the transmission of coronavirus is measured in Wales may soon have to change if case numbers continue to drop. Experts from the Technical Advisory Cell, which advises the Welsh Government on the coronavirus outbreak, said that if positive cases continued to fall, the R number would become less reliable. The number is used as a measure of how infectious the disease is, and gives an estimate of how many people an individual carrying the virus is likely to go on to infect.

Gwynedd schools will reopen before summer break - but not for as long as the Welsh Government wants

Pupils in Gwynedd will return to their classrooms for only three weeks before the summer holidays, the local authority has confirmed. The Welsh Government had planned for all Welsh schools to resume for four weeks following their partial reopening on June 29, by extending the summer term by a week. But, after unions raised concerns that a July 27 finish would cause issues with staff contracts, the Welsh Government confirmed that this would be a decision for individual councils.

The cost of the Covid-19 outbreak at a food plant has been felt far and wide. Yesterday it was revealed 175 people working at the 2 Sisters abattoir in Llangefni, tested positive for coronavirus. It’s understood half of the work force has now been tested for coronavirus.
