In 1946, the world of fashion and design changed forever. But not too far away, something exciting happened in the same year – Piaggio & Co fell through with patenting a certain segment of motorcycles. And thus were born two very iconic brands – Christian Dior and Vespa. Why are we talking about the two in one conversation? Probably because they gave us one hell of a reason to.
Collaborations are always exciting – especially when brands like these are involved. With a common starting point in their journeys, the two brands didn’t have anything significant in common. Well, before 2020.
Marking 56 years of their respective company’s success, the two brands collaborated to come up with an iconic take of the Vespa 946 Christian Dior. This limited edition luxury scooter is a tribute to both the brands as it maintains the essence of their respective roots.
Maria Grazia Churi, the creative director of Christian Dior women’s collection, designed the look and soul of the Vespa 946 Christian Dior. The Vespa 946 was first presented in 2012 in the city of Milan which was now left to the free will of Churi to translate it into a haute riff version of itself.
The new luxury scooter comes in a beige colour with a golden tinge and blue leather seats that create an outstanding contrast. If you’ve taken one look at it, the Christian Dior exemplary logo would be a hard miss.
Dior is also offering a series of accessories that will exclusively be available in Dior stores. This includes a half helmet, top box and bag patterned with the Dior oblique mark.
The pricing remains undisclosed but we would love to know what you’d estimate this beauty to be worth!
