
CGBSE CG Board 10th, 12th Result 2020 LIVE Updates: The Chhattisgarh Board Of Secondary Education, CGBSE declared the results of class 10, 12 exams on Tuesday, June 23. The students can check the results through the websites- cgbse.nic.in, results.gov.in/ cgresults, results.cg.nic.in. The evaluation of answer scripts was completed by May 25.
A total of 6.29 lakh students appeared in class 10, 12 exams this year, around 3.84 lakh candidates wrote class 10 exams, and another 2.66 lakh sat for the plus-two exams. As the board cancelled the pending exams due to the extension of lockdown, the students will get marks on the basis of internal assessment in the remaining subjects. The board earlier announced that the remaining papers will be conducted from May 4 to 8.

Girls of Chhattisgarh have put up a better show as compared to its boys in both class 10 and 12. In the high school exam, 73.62 per cent of students who appeared for the exam have passed. In this, girls outperformed boys by scoring 76.28 per cent and of the total boys who appeared for class 10 exams, 70.53 could pass the boards. For class 12 too the image was similar as of the total 78.59 per cent students cleared the exam. Among girls, 82.02 per cent passed while 74.40 per cent of boys cleared the CGBSE class 12 exams, as per the data shared by the board
Mungeli has given toppers for both classes 10 and 12. The class 10 topper Pragya Kashyap from Mungeli district has topped the exam and got the highest possible marks. She scored a perfect 100 per cent marks by obtaining as many as 600 out of 600. In class 12 too Mungeria-lad Tikesh Vaishnav has emerged as the topper. He has scored 97.80 per cent marks. He got 489 marks out of 500.
Tikesh Vaishnav from Mungeli topped the class 12 exam with 489 marks. The second and the third rank secured by Shreya Agarwal with 485 marks and Tannu Yadav with 483 marks.
Pragya Kashyap has topped the High School Certificate (HSC) exam scoring 100 per cent marks. The girl from Mungeli got 600 out of 600. Prashansa Rajput and Bharti Yadav secured the second and third spot with 99.33 per cent and 98.67 per cent respectively.

In 2015, the pass percentage was 71.12 per cent which increased to was around 73.43 in 2016. Similarly, the pass percentage stood at 76.37 per cent in 2017

Last year, over 7.69 lakh students appeared in CGBSE class 10 and class 12 exams. The overall pass percentage for class 12 was 78.43 per cent and for class 10, the overall pass percentage was 68.20 per cent.

Chhattisgarh Board this year limited the distribution of answersheets for the board exams. The board released a notification in this regard in December last year, which stated that no extra sheets will be provided to students appearing in the exams. A 32-page long answer booklet will be given to class 10 students and a 42-page booklet for class 12.
Explaining the move, the board had then stated that it was done to help students practice how to limit the length of their answers.

Chhattisgarh board in its release mentioned, “The result will be announced today at 11 am. State Education Minister Prem Sai Singh will release the result through webinar maintaining the COVID-19 norms.”
