Share market update: IT shares in the green; Just Dial surges 7%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the green in Tuesday's session.

Shares of Just Dial (up 7.4 per cent) , Info Edge (India) (up 4.9 per cent) , NIIT Technologies (up 2.33 per cent) , Mindtree (up 2.01 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 1.81 per cent) , Infosys (up 1.7 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (up 1.49 per cent) , Wipro (up 0.64 per cent) and Tata Consultancy (up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty IT index was trading 1.08 per cent up at 14619.55 around 11:55AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 83.35 points at 10394.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 252.79 points at 35164.11.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, PNB, Glenmark Pharma, IDFC First Bank Ltd., Bank of Baroda, SBI, Tata Motors and Federal Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
