An amateur lumberjack has shown why some jobs should be left to the professionals after he felled a tree right into his own house.
Queensland man James Cousins, from Chinchilla, shared video of his ill-fated DIY job to Facebook on Sunday.
In the footage Mr Cousins is seen cutting into a tree near the corner of his home before it starts to fall in the direction of the house.

As the branch falls it crashes into the side of the house tearing away wood and guttering, leaving a trail of destruction.
'In hindsight I would have... (insert long list here) but oh well,' he wrote alongside the video.
'Genuinely surprised I reacted as cool as I did. I can’t stop laughing at myself when I watch this, so I thought I might as well share.'
Since being posted the video has already been viewed 28,000 times.
'You can see the moment you realise you’ve f***** up,' one user wrote.
'We have all been there! Gold medal for calmness,' another added.
'Oh man, it's just not me that does this sort of stuff. Thanks for the laugh,' a third replied.
Mr Cousins returned to the post on Monday afternoon to share a picture of the same corner of his house completely repaired.
'Wouldn’t worry about it,' he wrote.
'Took you long enough... Just kidding looks good,' another user responded.
