Representative ImageNOIDA: A Class 8 student was allegedly stabbed by a 16-year-old boy seven times after the teenagers had an argument in Gejha area in Sector 93 early on Sunday morning.
Police said the incident took place when the 15-year-old boy was standing outside his house and the other teenager arrived with his friends, took him aside and knifed him, resulting in the boy suffering serious injuries.
According to the victim’s brother, the boys had a fight over a trivial issue some days ago and fought again on Saturday evening.
“They had a fight after which the boy used abusive language against my brother, to which he replied. On Sunday, he arrived at our house. My brother was standing outside and he took him near Devi Public School. He stabbed him multiple times on the feet, hands, thighs and face. Some neighbours informed us,” he alleged.
Police said during the fight between the teenagers on Saturday, the victim had slapped the accused, which had angered him.
Additional DCP (central Noida) Ankur Aggarwal said that the teenager is absconding and teams have been formed to trace him. “Police was informed about the incident around 3pm. The boy had been taken to Yatharth hospital,” he said.
Dr Ankur Das, medical superintendent, Yatharth hospital, said, “The cut on the thigh is very deep. If it had damaged one of his arteries, it would have been difficult to save him. However, he is stable and out of danger.”
Phase II police lodged an FIR against the accused juvenile under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 352 (punishment for assault or criminal force) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace).
