NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading higher in Monday's session.
Shares of United Spirits (up 2.73 per cent) , Emami (up 1.88 per cent) , Godrej Consumer Products (up 1.81 per cent) , United Breweries (up 1.76 per cent) , Colgate Palmolive (India) (up 1.65 per cent) , TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS (up 0.68 per cent) , P & G Hygiene (up 0.59 per cent) , Dabur India (up 0.59 per cent) , Hindustan Unilever (up 0.48 per cent) , ITC (up 0.43 per cent) and Nestle India (up 0.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.6 per cent up at 28882.55 around 02:04PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 133.90 points at 10378.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 424.78 points at 35156.51.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, PNB, Glenmark Pharma, Federal Bank, IDFC First Bank Ltd., RBL Bank Ltd., SBI and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
