Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt is already in search of his next project in football and says he would consider jobs outside South Africa.

The 55-year was seemingly left without a job after Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) bought the franchise of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) club for next season.

Hunt won the league three times with SuperSport United before doing the same with the Clever Boys in the 2017/18 season.

The former Seven Stars and Hellenic FC coach is now considering his options and is eager to land a job where he will be left alone to do what he does best.

"Things are starting to happen for me, and right now, it's about getting the right project," Hunt told Daily Sun.

"I don't like interference. I just want to be given a mandate and left alone to do my job if I decide to accept any offers in South Africa.

"If that can't be guaranteed then I will have to look elsewhere.

"But I could be moving outside of South Africa to look for better opportunities.

"At this stage, I don't mind if it's a national team or at club level."

Reports have also circulated that Hunt is one of the top-paid coaches in South Africa, which could make it difficult for him to find a new home, but he insists the rumours are untrue.

"Whenever people say I earn a lot of money, it makes me angry. It's a pile of complete rubbish,” he said.

“Anyone that goes around saying that nonsense is planting the wrong seed in the club bosses minds," he added.

"I am open to negotiations and I am a reasonable coach. I don't go around demanding ridiculous salaries."
