Share market update: IT shares mixed; Wipro dips 2%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Monday's session.

Shares of Info Edge (India) (up 2.32 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (up 1.62 per cent) , Just Dial (up 1.2 per cent) , MPhasis (up 1.06 per cent) , NIIT Technologies (up 0.58 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 0.54 per cent) and Mindtree (up 0.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Wipro (down 1.82 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (down 0.43 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.36 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.12 per cent down at 14482.2 around 12:00PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 61.15 points at 10305.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 163.34 points at 34895.07.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Federal Bank, PNB, Glenmark Pharma, Tata Motors, RBL Bank Ltd., SBI, IDFC First Bank Ltd. and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
