Assam 12th board results at 9 am on June 25

AHSEC is among the few education boards in India which is going to make the original marksheets and certificates available to the students within a few days from the declaration of the boards results at the time of the pandemic.
GUWAHATI: Despite the persisting Covid-19 threat and lockdown rules, the Class 12 state board examinees in Assam will get their original marksheet and certificate within a week from the declaration of the results on June 25.

Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) controller of examinations, Pankaj Borthakur said that AHSEC is among the few education boards in India which is going to make the original marksheets and certificates available to the students within a few days from the declaration of the boards results at the time of the pandemic. The Class 12 boards results will be declared for all four streams- Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational- at 9 am on June 25 through 14 websites.

"While results will be sent to all the AHSEC-affiliated institutions in digital format through online mode on June 25, the original marksheets and certificates will be made available in the respective educational institutions within a week from the declaration of the results. AHSEC is among the three-four education boards in the country which is going to make the original marksheets and certificates available for the students soon after the declaration of the results under this Covid situation," Borthakur said on Monday.

The digital formats of the mark sheets will be available for the candidates on the day of declaration of the results itself. However, the original marksheets and certificates may be helpful for the students seeking admission outside the state. In Assam, colleges have already decided to enrol students on the basis of digital marksheets to be provided by the education boards at the time of the pandemic.

A press statement issued by the board's secretary Manoranjan Kakati stated that besides the official website of AHSEC, www.ahsec.nic.in, and the results will be available at various other websites - www.asssamresult.in, www.schools9.com, www.newsnation.in, www.newsstate.com, www.iResults.net, www.EduAssam.com, www.vidyavision.com, www.exametc.com, www.ExamResults.net/assam/, www.assamresult.co.in, etc.

"The candidates will be able to get their results by typing their roll and number in any of the 14 websites. The digital marksheets would be uploaded in the websites and the candidates would get the option of downloading these from the websites," read the statement.

AHSEC has urged the heads of the educational institutions to take initiatives so that the original marksheets and certificates can be distributed among the candidates without breaching the social distancing norms.

Last year, the Class 12 state board examination results were declared on May 25. But this year, the lockdown has caused a delay in evaluation of answer scripts, as the results in Assam will be declared exactly a month later than the previous year. About 2.34 lakhs candidates appeared in the Class 12 state board exam from 772 exam centres across Assam in 2020. Exams were held between February 12 to March 14.

Earlier in April, AHSEC had decided to allow all Class 11 students studying in institutions affiliated to it to be promoted to Class 12 without a final examination. The Class 11 final examination, conducted by the AHSEC, was scheduled to begin from March 25. However, the board had to cancel its plans to conduct the exams later due to the lockdown.
