Raped by dad, girl delivers baby in Karnataka

HUBBALLI: An incident of a father impregnating his daughter was reported from Koppal district on Sunday.
The girl’s mother told Koppal rural police that her husband used to take the 14-year-old daughter to graze cattle.
“He raped our daughter in an inebriated state many times while grazing cattle. He had threatened to kill her if she disclosed his act. When she suffered from stomach pain on Saturday night, we brought her to the district hospital, where she delivered a baby in the eighth month of her pregnancy,” she added.
Police have arrested the accused and sent him to judicial custody. It’s learnt that the accused has six daughters and victim is the eldest. “We have registered a case under Pocso Act,” police said.
