"There are 6,189 active Covid-19 cases in the state. A total of 12,116 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovering from the infection. This is 64.13 per cent of the total Covid-19 cases in the state," Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) Amit Mohan Prasad told reporters.

Air India Express seeks UAE nod to fly people on India-Dubai sector of Vande Bharat flights
The Dubai government has allowed foreign nationals holding residency visas issued in Dubai to return to the emirate starting Monday (June 22), and will open its doors to tourists from July 7. A large number of Indians working in UAE are currently in India and are keen to retun to their jobs and homes in Dubai. An Air India Express spokesman said the airline has “not yet received approval from UAE authorities to carry passengers on our VBM flights, although we have requested for it.”

Law Ministry tweaks rule to allow use of postal ballot for those suffering from Covid, reports PTI.
Voters in Bihar who test positive for COVID-19 will be allowed to cast their vote using postal ballot in the state assembly polls due later this year. The Legislative Department in the Union law ministry has changed the Conduct of Election Rules to allow those suffering from Covid-19 to use postal ballot, a top ministry functionary said on Tuesday.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is on Tuesday set to announce July 4 as the date for a significant lifting of lockdown restrictions in the country, with cinemas, museums, bars, pubs and restaurants being allowed to open their doors to the public once again. UP opposition leader tests positive for coronavirus, reports PTI.
Leader of Opposition in the UP assembly and Samajwadi Party leader, Ram Govind Chaudhary, has tested positive for coronavirus, an official said on Tuesday. Chaudhary was suffering from fever and cold and was admitted to a private hospital in Lucknow on Monday where his sample was taken for testing, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Anand Prakash Joshi, said.
