Bengaluru: Eclipse to be visible for three hours, watch live webcast

BENGALURU: The partial solar eclipse will be visible in Bengaluru for over three hours on Sunday. In view of Covid-19 restrictions, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium has made arrangements for a live webcast.
According to planetarium authorities, the eclipse will be visible from 10.12am to 1.31pm, with the maximum visibility (nearly 40%) around 11.47am. No arrangement has been made for the public to view the phenomenon from the planetarium campus. However, enthusiasts can watch the webcast on www. taralaya.org and the planetarium's Facebook and YouTube channels.
According to the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, visibility of the eclipse in Bengaluru will be 36 per cent whereas in Leh it would be about 87 per cent.
