Representative imageNOIDA: A class VIII boy was allegedly stabbed by a 16-year-old boy as many as seven times after the duo had an argument with each other in which, the former had allegedly slapped the latter in Gejha area early on Sunday morning.
The incident happened when the boy Aditya Singh (15) was standing outside his house in Gejha village of Sector 93 when the accused – also a juvenile- and his friends arrived and allegedly took him aside and stabbed him, resulting in the boy suffering serious injuries.
According to the Aditya’s brother, the boys had a fight over a trivial issue some days back and on Saturday evening too, they apparently fought again.
“They had a fight with each other over some issue in which the accused first abused my brother and Aditya abused him back. The accused arrived outside my house on Sunday when Aditya was standing outside took him aside somewhere near the Devi Public School. He stabbed my brother multiple times with a knife. Some neighbours who heard his cries informed my parents and we rushed to the spot,” he said.
The accused – whose family according to the victim’s brother, sells chicken in the area- allegedly stabbed Aditya seven times on the feet, hands, thighs and face with a knife.
Police confirmed that at the time of their fight on Saturday, Aditya had apparently slapped the accused which angered him and he wanted to take revenge from him.
Additional DCP (central Noida) Ankur Aggarwal told TOI that the accused is absconding and teams have been formed for his detention.
“The police was informed about the incident around 3 pm. Aditya had been taken to the Yatharth hospital.The accused is also a juvenile,” he said. It was unclear whether the knife used was a meat cutter or kitchen knife.
Dr Ankur Das, medical superintendent for the hospital told TOI that Aditya has been stabbed at seven places including both his hands, face, thigh and arms. “He was brought to the hospital around 11 am. The cut on the thigh is very deep and had it damaged one of his arteries, it would have been very difficult to save him. However, he is stable and out of danger,” he said.
Later, Phase II police lodged an FIR against the accused juvenile under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 352 ( punishment for assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace). While the police has said that the accused is also a juvenile, family of the victim has alleged that the accused is a major. "There were three people who arrived at the spot and took my brother along. The trio including the main accused are brothers. They are all majors," the victims's brother told TOI.
