Tamil Nadu Reports 2,532 New Cases | Tamil Nadu reported the highest single-day spike of 2,532 coronavirus cases and 53 deaths today. The total number of cases now stands at 59,377. The tally includes 25,863 active cases and the death toll rises to 757, health bulletin said. 

10 New Covid-19 Cases in Nagaland | Nagaland reported 10 more coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally in the state to 211. Officials said 141 patients have been cured and the state now has 70 active cases.

The Puri seer's statement comes after Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb and servitors sought Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's intervention for modification of the Supreme Court's order that put a stay on the Rath Yatra on June 23.

HP Coronavirus Tally Update | Himachal Pradesh's coronavirus cases now stands at 662. The tally includes 237 active cases, 406 recovered. The death toll is at six, the state health department said. 

Meghalaya Extends Night Curfew, Ban on Inter-state Movement | The Meghalaya government has extended the night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am till June 30, officials said. The night curfew was to be in force till Monday.

India's Recovery Rate Improves to 55.49% | The number of patients recovering from Covid-19 continues to increase in India. So far, a total of 2,27,755 patients have been cured. During the last 24 hours, a total of 13,925 patients have been cured from the disease. The recovery rate has further improved to 55.49% amongst infected patients: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

Chandigarh Covid-19 Update | Coronavirus cases in Chandigarh reached 404 today. The tally included 82 active cases, six deaths and 316 cured cases.

Russia Reports Less than 8,000 New Virus Cases | Russia reported 7,728 new coronavirus cases today, taking its nationwide case tally to 5,84,680. The death toll reached 8,111 after 109 people died in the last 24 hours. 

Odisha Reports 304 New Covid-19 Cases | Odisha's coronavirus tally reached 5,160 today after 304 people testing positive in the last 24 hours. Two more deaths pushed the toll to 14, latest health bulletin said. 

Kanwar Yatra to be Suspended Due to Covid-19 | The Uttarakhand government has decided to call-off Kanwar Yatra this year in view of rising coronavirus cases across the country, according to reports. The matter was raised by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath via a video conference meeting today with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar. 

China Suspends Imports of Poultry from Tyson Plant | China's customs authority said it had suspended imports of poultry products from a plant owned by US-based meat processor Tyson Inc that has been hit by the novel coronavirus. The plant is located in Springdale, Arizona, according to a customs file of registered exporters, reported Reuters. 

The Railways is now experimenting with a variety of options to bring down the temperature like bamboo blinds on windows and bubble-wrap on the roof as well as heat-resistant coating and portable coolers.

Mandoli Jail Inmate Who Died Last Week, Tests Positive | A 62-year-old inmate who died in Mandoli Jail on June 15, tested positive for coronavirus today, officials said. The man was lodged in senior citizen barrack and shared the same with 28 other inmates. All inmates of the barrack are being tested for Covid-19.

As Cases Continue to Rise, Cops, BMC Disagree Over Lockdown | While the police wants a total lockdown to be enforced in north Mumbai region to stem the rise in cases, a senior BMC official said the proposal was "disastrous" as the civic body was tracking the virus spread and taking measures to contain it.

China Covid-19 Update | Food and beverage giant PepsiCo has suspended its operations in Beijing after some of its employees tested positive for the coronavirus. City officials are conducting Covid-19 tests on millions, especially employees of restaurants, food delivery services and market vendors. China's National Health Commission (NHC) said 32 new infections were reported in the country.

According to the Ministry of National Health Services, Pakistan reported 4,951 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nation's tally to 176,617 on Sunday.
