Solar eclipses happen when the Moon is too far from Earth to block out the entire Sun.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on International Yoga Day and said that yoga gives us not only the physical strength but also mental balance and emotional stability to confidently negotiate the challeneges before us. The activities are being held online and without mass gatherings due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
India, during the day witnesses the annular solar eclipse that began from 9 am and is set to last till 3 pm.
Meanwhile, security forces killed a terrorist in a joint operations launched in Shopian of Jammu and Kashmir. The Armed forces are engaged in a continuous battle in the valley as infiltration bids increases.
