This Father’s Day, let us all indulge in classic Bollywood movies, which have been inspirational and has showcased the father-children relation in beautiful ways.

Father's Day observed on the third Sunday of June every year to celebrate the bond a child shares with him and to recognise the contribution of fathers and father figures in the lives of their children.

Father’s are the epitome of love, confidence, kindness and care. They play a crucial role in one's life. One day is just not enough to express the love we have for our father’s. They are the ‘Real Life Heroes!’ for their children. Father’s Day, is an opportunity to realise their importance and to thank them for being selfless.

This Father’s Day, let us all indulge in classic Bollywood movies, which have been inspirational and has showcased the father-children relation in beautiful ways. These movies have alluring demonstrated the bond between father and child, how it is difficult for each of them to understand each other, yet each one of them will go to any lengths to protect the other.

Angrezi Medium (2020)

The movies throw light on the fact that to which extent a father can go to make his daughter fulfil her dreams. It is a perfect example of scarifies parents make to make a better life for their children.

Chhichhore (2019)

A movie which teaches us the importance of life, and how one life lost can impact the whole family. It illustrated how a college-going guy has transformed himself into a responsible father. He tries to tackle his son’s problem in the best possible way.

102 Not Out (2018)

Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a 102-year-old father, who is happy go lucky and lives life to the fullest. On the contrary, his son Late Rishi Kapoor has extremely different ideologies than that of his father’s. These movies amaze us, as a father teaches his son how to live life.

Raazi (2018)

This movie showcases a different perspective of a father-daughter relationship. A father who is an Indian Spy, trains her daughter to be a spy and ask her to marry a guy of other countries. He explains his love for the nation and how important it is.

Dangal (2016)

A biopic which reveals how far will a father go to ensure that his daughters live a life of dignity rather than staying within the confines of their homes.

Kapoor & Sons (2016)

We realise once importance when someone has left us. Movie Kapoor & Sons demonstrates the importance of people in one’s life. The movies teach us a lesson, how much a situation is difficult, how much wrong deeds we have done our parents will always love us and protect us no matter what. One always finds solace only at home with their parents and loved ones.

Piku (2015)

This movies showcases, how a daughter will leave no stone unturned to remain with her ageing father despite having a difference in their ideologies. It also tells us that a daughter will go to any extent to cure his father’s disease.

Drishyam (2015)

A movie which demonstrates how parents will sacrifice anything just to protect and safeguard their children. It showcases, how a father tells lies and trains his children and wife to say the same life, in order to protect them all from the vicious clutches of law.

My Name is Khan (2010)

Rizwan Khan, portrayed by Shah is a young Indian man with Asperger's Disorder, who loves his son to the core. But he is blamed for his father’s day because he is a Muslim. Throughout the movie, he tries to meet the president and tell the world ‘My Name is Khan and I am not a terrorist’ and tries to seek justice for his son.

Paa (2009)

An extraordinary movie of Bollywood, which celebrates the spirit of the father-child relationship.  Par portrays a uniqueness and a commendable unbreakable bond of father and child.

This movies are extraordinary and help us understand our father and the sacrifice he makes to see us happy. Happy Father’s Day, to all the father’s out there who are willing to do anything for their children.
