In this regard, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed by Police constable S P Ghotekar at Wadgoan Maval police station which falls under the jurisdiction of Pune rural jurisdiction.

According to police, "The wedding permission was procured by the bride's family, and as per the mandate of the state the government, we had informed them specifically to let only 50 people attend the wedding, based on which we had given permission. But when our staff went to check and inspect the wedding, they found more than 60-70 people attending the wedding and we found that no one was following social distancing norms.'
