The BJP coalition government in Manipur seems to be in trouble. After the resignation of four National People's Party MLAs and three BJP MLAs, the Congress has started preparations on its part to form the government in this state.

According to reports, the Congress has now made a demand to meet the Governor and conduct a floor test. It is being told that the Congress has also chosen former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh as its new leader for the new government. National People's Party President Thangamlen Kipgen, who resigned from the NDA government, has given information in this regard.

He said that we have requested the Governor to convene the assembly session and invite the newly formed Secular People's Front under Ibobi Singh to form the government.

Significantly, on Wednesday, four party MLAs, including National People's Party (NPP) Deputy Chief Minister Y Joy Kumar, resigned. Simultaneously, three BJP MLAs also resigned. All these MLAs have joined the Congress.
