A 'meteorite-like object' was found in Sanchore, Rajasthan, on Friday morning. According to reports, the object weighs around 2.8 kgs, which fell from the sky, digging a one-foot-deep carter in the Jalore district of Rajasthan.

The people residing in the region heard a huge blast and later informed the local authorities regarding the object.
A media report suggests, the sub-divisional officer, Bhupendra Yadav went on the location to survey the situation, he then confirmed that the object was emitting heat.
The meteor-like object is right now in the police custody and is being examined by the experts. Since the object was hot at the time it was found, experts let it cool down first.
