Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop rumors of further expansion in the country to stop the spread of Kovid-19.
Earlier in the day, KCR attended a video-conference with the Prime Minister and sought clarity from the Center on the subject.
Chandrasekhar Rao said that there have been rumors for a long time that the Center may re-implement the lockout in the country. People are speculating that this may be announced after the PM's video conference with chief ministers of all states. It would be better if there is clarity from the Prime Minister in this regard.
An official statement from the Chief Minister's Office said that Modi has made it clear that the lockout in the country is over and Unlock 1 will continue.
The Prime Minister said, "There will be no lockout in the country. Four phases of lockout are over. Phase 1 of unlock is currently in progress. We all need to discuss what to do during Unlock 2.0. "
The Chief Minister of Telangana explained to the Prime Minister about several measures taken by the state government to stop the spread of coronovirus, stating that the Kovid-19 situation in the state was under control.
“The death rate is also registering a low percentage. We are confident that with the efforts of both the Center and the states, we will get a decisive victory over Corona.
