A woman home guard attached to the Vasco police station and her mother have tested positive for the COVID-19 pandemic on Thursday.

Sources said the woman home guard, a resident of Headland Sada, underwent the confirmatory COVID test, whereupon she tested positive for the dreaded virus.

Thereafter her mother was also subjected to the COVID test, and she too tested positive for the disease.
Consequently, the Vasco police decided to make other personnel undergo the COVID test.

On Wednesday, a police constable attached to the Vasco police station too had tested positive for the
pandemic.
