ASX tipped for flat open on tepid Wall St lead

Summary

• SPI futures point to a drop of 5 points, or 0.1pc, for the ASX 200 at the open
• The benchmark index shed 0.9pc on Thursday, but is still up 1.5pc for the week
• Wall Street was subdued. The S&P 500 rose 0.1pc, the Dow fell 0.2pc, and the Nasdaq added 0.3pc
• Brent crude is up 1.9pc and US oil rose 2.3pc. Iron ore fell 1.6pc to $US102.40 a tonne
