MP Covid-19 Tally Update | Coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh reached 11,582 today after 156 new patients were reported, including 55 each in Indore and Bhopal, taking the total number of cases to 11,582. Death toll rises to 495 after nine deaths were confirmed. 

The Union home ministry’s move seems to be partially in sync with the health ministry’s observation that home isolation isn’t being adhered to strictly in Delhi. But at no point did the latter recommend that home quarantine be discontinued altogether in Delhi.

Maharashtra Records 3,827 New Cases 142 Deaths | A total of 3,827 new coronavirus cases and 142 deaths were recorded in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours taking the total number of infections in the state to 1,24,331. Of the new cases, Mumbai now has 64,139 total cases and accounts for 3,425 deaths in the state. 

Punjab Reports 217 More Covid-19 Cases | Latest health bulletin shows Punjab reported 217 fresh coronavirus cases today, taking the infection tally to 3,832, while the death toll in the state rose to 92.

Telangana Reports 499 New Cases | A total of 499 new coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported in Telangana today, taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,526. Death toll now stands at 198. 

WHO Chief Warns Virus Pandemic 'Accelerating' | World Health Organization Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the coronavirus pandemic is "accelerating" and that more than 1,50,000 cases were reported yesterday - the highest single-day number so far.

Coronavirus Cases in WB Now at 13,090 | A total of 355 new coronavirus cases and 11 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours in West Bengal, taking the cumulative total to 13,090 and the death toll to 529. Data shows 5,258 active cases and 7,303 discharges reported so far. 

16 Covid-19 Patients Discharged in Sikkim | A total of 16 coronavirus patients were discharged today from STNM hospital after they recovered from the disease. So far, there are 49 active Covid-19 cases in Sikkim.

Amravati's Covid-19 Tally Now at 406 | The total number of coronavirus cases reached 406 in Amravati in Maharashtra after 11 people tested positive for the disease today. 

ICMR Chief Calls For Ramping Up Tests in Containment Zones | Director General of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Dr Balram Bhargava, has directed all states to ramp up testing for coronavirus in containment zones and hospitals amid surge in cases across the country.

HCQ Exports Ban Lifted after Surplus Stock Check: Govt | "Currently, India is having a surplus of hydroxychloroquine tablets over and above its domestic requirements," the Chemicals and Fertilizers ministry said adding that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) is maintaining enough buffer stock of HCQ to cater to domestic demand. The decision to lift the export ban was taken after inter-ministerial high-level empowered committee meeting. 

Covid-19 Test Mandatory from June 25 in Kerala | "Passengers travelling on flights from overseas to Kerala from June 25 should get themselves tested and have Covid negative results before boarding the flights," a government press release said.

Tamil Nadu Coronavirus Update | Tamil Nadu reported 2,115 new coronavirus cases and 41 more deaths taking the tally to 54,449 while the toll stood at 666. Chennai accounted for 1,322 of the total number of cases taking the city's total to 38,327.

Odisha Coronavirus Update | A total of 165 new coronavirus cases were reported in Odisha today, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 4,677. The tally includes 3297 recovered cases and 1366 active cases. The death toll stands at 11. 

Spain Revises Coronavirus Death Toll to Over 28,000 | Spain's health ministry reported a total of 28,313 coronavirus deaths, after adjusting its database to remove duplications and errors. Officials said that there were still nine active clusters across Spain.

Maharashtra Covid-19 Update | A total of 200 oxygenated beds facility has started at Maharashtra Nature Park in Dharavi from today, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said. 

Gujarat Records 540 New Coronavirus Cases | Latest health bulletin shows 540 new coronavirus cases and 27 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the state tally to 26,198. The death toll stands at 1619 and the tally includes 18,167 discharges and 6,412 active cases. Of the total new cases recorded, Ahmedabad confirmed 312 cases and 21 deaths alone.

Karnataka Records 337 New Coronavirus Cases | A total of 337 new cases of coronavirus and 10 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 8,281. The death toll stands at 124.

Eight Covid-19 Patients Recover in Mizoram | Eight Covid-19 patients were discharged from a hospital in Mizoram on Friday after they recovered from the virus after undergoing treatment for 17 days.
