Punjab: DSP office shuts down after computer operator tests positive for Covid-19

KHAMANO(FATEHGARH SAHIB): The office of Khamano deputy superintendent of police has been shut down for the next few days after one of the women computer operators tested positive for the coronavirus late Thursday night.
The woman constable who was working as computer operator in the office of the deputy superintendent of police has been shifted to the isolation ward at Gian Sagar hospital, Banur.
Confirming the development, Dr Naresh Chauhan of Civil Hospital Khamano said samples of three close contacts of the woman constable including reader to DSP, his gunman and a class four woman employee have been taken and the report is expected by Saturday. Besides, about 25 close contact persons including family members of the woman constable have been quarantined in their respective houses at village Jatana Ucha and their samples will be taken on Monday.
DSP Khamano Dharampal confirmed that the office had been shut down for few days after consulting SSP Fatehgarh Sahib. The DSP himself has been asked to quarantine at his official residence and avoid meeting people for the next few days.
