Twitter has yet again announced a new feature today that will let users discover new lists and add them to their feeds. The company announced the new feature on the micro-blogging site along with a small video of how to use it. A new option called the Show More Recommendations will be added to the Discover New Lists section, which will give the users an option to browse many other lists. The feature will be rolled out for Android and iOS users
Announcing the feature, Twitter said from its official handle, "Add new voices and conversations to your Timeline using Lists. You can now make a List, discover new Lists, follow a List, and Tweet a List."
To use the feature, users are required tap on the 'Show more recommendations' option in the 'Discover new lists' section. Doing this would allow users to create new lists, discover new lists, follow a list or even tweet a list from the recommendations by Twitter. You can also look for a particular topic and add the list to your feed and also follow the list, to get updates more your preferred topic.
List has been a part of Twitter for some time now. It is basically a section where you can find stories and tweets about one particular subject. For instance, if I am following a link called Tech, I will get all the tech-related news and updates whenever I browse the list. It will show recent additions or information about the subject. Twitter has been working to make this feature even more useful and last year, iOS users were given an option to pin five lists to their feed or timeline. We couldn't find the new feature in either Android or iOS as of now but it is being speculated that it will be a staged rollout.
Twitter has been released many new features recently and the ones that made a lot of noise were the Fleets and Voice. The company recently released a Voice feature that would allow users to post a voice note for up to 140 seconds. The feature was only released for iOS users. Prior to this, Twitter had announced an Instagram-like feature recently which garnered mixed reactions from the users. The Fleets feature allows users to post short videos, posts, or pictures which lasts only up to 24 hours. The feature was first seen on Snapchat.
