Thane: Restrictions imposed on on access of tourists due to Covid-19

THANE: Collector Rajesh Narvekar has imposed restrictions starting on Friday on access of tourists to popular monsoon getaways in the district considering the Covid-19 transmission threat here.
Most spots including Khadavli lake, waterfall points along the Mumbra hills, Malshej and waterfront spots at Ghodbunder, Mumbra, Uttan, Kondeshwar along with trekking spots will be out of bound for revellers.
"Considering the popularity of these spots among tourists and the present partial easing of lockdown, there is a possibility of residents flocking there during rainy and risking transmission of corona. The restrictions will be in force till further notification," said Narvekar.
