For this, several rounds of talks were held between the two countries, which remained fruitless. On the night of 15 June, a contingent of the Indian Army went to the Chinese Army at Petroling Point-14 in Galvan Valley. During this time, the Chinese soldiers ambushed and attacked the Indian Army contingent. In this bloody skirmish, 20 soldiers of the Indian Army were killed, while China also suffered heavy losses.
