101 CISF personnel Quarantined in Bokaro

Bokaro: As many as 101 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and officers, who arrived in Bokaro after training, promotion course, departmental works and holidays to rejoin duty at Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL) have been put under quarantine.
Shitanshu Shekhar Mishra, DIG of CISF’s BSL unit, said: “The men and officers have been quarantined at the Trainees Hostel located in Bokaro town for 14 days. They have been asked to follow quarantine rules strictly and are kept under vigil.” There were about 130 CISF personnel out of their station before the nationwide lockdown was clamped in March.
All those who complete the quarantine period are being allowed to return to work only after producing a medical fitness certificate. On the instructions from CISF headquarters, family members of the personnel returning from other states to Bokaro have also been instructed to stay in quarantine. During their quarantine tenure, the CISF personnel have been asked not to meet their family.
On May 22, two CISF jawans tested positive for Covid-19 and were released from Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) after recovering from the disease. They were among the four CISF jawans who arrived in Bokaro after training at the CISF Training Centre in Cuttack (Odisha) on May 13 from Rajdhani Express.
As of Wednesday morning, Bokaro district had a total of 29 coronavirus cases. Of these, three are active, 24 have recovered and two have died during treatment.
