Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has once again made important suggestions to PM Modi to deal with the coronavirus crisis.


Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has, through a letter after a video conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the CM residence on Wednesday, urged PM Modi that in a situation when the country's economy is going through a deep crisis. Most industrial and commercial units are able to produce much less than their capacity. In such a situation, the Government of India should pay attention to measures to increase demand.

For this, direct cash transfer should be made to the needy families, thereby increasing their purchasing power. In this letter, Ashok Gehlot has also asked PM Modi to provide financial assistance for the payment of wages of workers to the industries suffering from recession. The CM said that in order to fight the corona, states have to spend extra for medical resources. The central government should provide additional support for this.

Through the letter, CM demanded PM Modi to create an additional 100 man-days in MNREGA, make full contribution of this financial year in central schemes, make GST compensation payment of Rs 5461 crore early and make proper arrangements for locust control.
