The campaign to boycott Chinese goods and government decisions to cancel contracts to Chinese companies are kneejerk reactions. India’s anger after Galwan is justified but it can’t cut off the nose to spite the face. It should use this moment to boost manufacturing and eventually reduce dependence on China’s factories.
