Bomb threat to Rajinikanth’s home, but superstar and family know Covid-19 is a bigger threat

Rajinikanth
CHENNAI: A team of police officials and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) on Thursday rushed to actor Rajinikanth’s house in Chennai after receiving a bomb threat call. Later, the call turned out to be a hoax.
A prankster’s call landed at 108 ambulance control centre at 10.30am. The man claimed that bombs were planted at the actor’s residence in Poes Garden and disconnected the call.
Due to pandemic, the actor’s family members remained inside their home and refused to let the police team in for checking.
The team pleaded with the members to let them in. Officials waited for 10 minutes. However, Rajinikanth’s family members refused. After informing senior officials, the team returned after thoroughly checking the security guard cabin and area outside the actor’s house.
The officials later declared it to be a hoax call.
Thereafter, there was no response from the actor’s residence over the issue.
Local police officials were asked to track the prankster.
