Samsung is expected to launch new Galaxy S20 series phones in August, with the company tipped to populate the series with two, maybe even three new phones. Over the last few weeks, there have been a number of leaks about the Galaxy Note 20 series of phones, of which most have fixated on the higher-end Galaxy Note 20 Ultra model.

However, we now have information about vanilla Note 20, which according to new reports will feature a "flat screen" with full-HD resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. According to tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Note 20 will be quite a contrast to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and will come bearing a flat display and "wide frame". This will be a serious departure from the past Note 20 series phones, all of which have featured curved displays over the last few years.

The move to a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate capped to 60Hz will also be quite a bummer for a lot of fans who have now gotten used to faster displays on even mid-range smartphones.

But while the Galaxy Note 20 may disappoint a few, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra could turn out to be a real blockbuster. Previously leaked renders have shown Galaxy Note 20+ (or now the Note 20 Ultra) has been shown to bring slight curves and a boxy design -- something we've previously seen on Galaxy S20 Ultra and even the Galaxy Note 10 last year.

As for the specs, OnLeaks has claimed in the past that the Galaxy Note 20+ will bring a rather big display at 6.9-inches. This will be bigger than the one found on the Galaxy Note 10+ which came with a 6.8-inch display. Reports in the past have suggested that the Galaxy Note 20+ could come with a 120Hz mode for faster refresh rates. Additionally, reports claim the panel on the phone will be built using LTPO tech.
