Update | The bodies of the two soldiers from West Bengal, Havildar Bipul Roy and Sepoy Rajesh Orang, who were among the 20 Indian Army personnel killed in a clash with Chinese troops in eastern Ladakh's Galwan Valley, are scheduled to arrive at their native places today evening, an Army spokesperson said.

Asked about allegations that Indian soldiers were brutally attacked with iron rods and spikes, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson reiterated Beijing's allegation, squarely blaming the Indian troops for the incident.
China Refuses to Answer on Building Dam in Galwan | To a question about satellite photos taken on June 16 showing China building a dam on the Galwan river blocking its water flow and whether it violated any agreement with India, Zhao in a recent presser said, "I am not aware of the specifics you mentioned."
China: Situation Stable & Controllable | "Currently the overall situation is stable and controllable. We believe under the guidance of the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries the two sides can deal with the relevant matter jointly safeguard peace and stability at the border areas and work for the sound development of bilateral relations," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian in his media briefing today.

India Says No Troops Missing in Action | With reference to the article 'In China - India Clash, Two Nationalist Leaders with Little Room to Give' published by the New York Times, the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (AGDPI) of Indian Army said that no personnel is 'missing' due to the Indo-China face-off in Ladakh's Galwan valley. MEA Briefing at 5 PM Today | Ministry of External Affairs to hold a presser at 5 pm today. The briefing will likely address relations between India and China in view of violent clash between the two militaries on Monday evening in which a colonel and 19 other Indian Army personnel were killed in in eastern Ladakh's Galwan Valley.
'Has India's International Policy Failed?' In the wake of the killing of 20 Indian soldiers in a violent clash with Chinese troops in Ladakh, Maharashtra NCP minister Jitendra Awhad on Thursday said no country is speaking on the Galwan Valley standoff when it is clear that China indulged in aggression. Seeking to know whether Indias international policy has failed, Awhad said the American policy also does not seem to be favouring India.
While both governments are now scrambling to deescalate, the conflict could provide the final push for a pivot already begun by New Delhi, away from Beijing and towards China's traditional rivals, the United States and Japan, as well as a growing regional one, Australia. Read more here.

China, India Agreed to Deal in 'Just Manner': Official | China and India have agreed to deal with the "serious matter" caused by the conflict at the Galwan Valley in a "just manner" and both sides are in communication and coordination through diplomatic and military channels to de-escalate the tensions as soon as possible, a top Chinese official said on Thursday.
