NEW DELHI: Three days after Sushant Singh Rajput was cremated in Mumbai, the family plans to immerse the actor's ashes today. The late Bollywood actor's sister
Shweta Singh Kirti took to Facebook to confirm that the family had returned to Patna on Wednesday where the ashes will be immersed.
In a post earlier this morning, Kirti wrote that the 'Asthi Visarjan' ritual (ashes immersion ritual) will take place today. She also thanked everyone who had prayed for Rajput and helped the family in these difficult times.
She also requested everyone to pray for the late 34-year-old actor and celebrate his life. "Let's send him off with all the fond memories and unconditional love in your hearts," she added.
On Wednesday, Shweta posted an emotional open letter to his baby brother, apologising for all the pain he had to go through. Along with his black-and-white picture, she also shared a handwritten note by Rajput, which reads: "She who says she can and she who says she can't, are both usually right!! You're the first 'she'. Love you. Bhai Sushant."
In the heartbreaking note, she acknowledged the pain he was suffering and that he fought it bravely. "If I could I would have taken all your pain (away) and given all my happiness to you," her note read.
Using adorable nick names like 'sona', 'baby', 'babu' and 'bachcha', she remembered his 'twinkling eyes' that taught the world to dream and his 'innocent smile' that showed the purity in his heart.
She further prayed for him to be happy and fulfilled, wherever he was. "Know that everyone loved, loves u and will always love you unconditionally," she wrote.
Shweta further mentioned a special note to all her loved ones. "I know it is testing time, but whenever there is choice, choose love above hatred, kindness and compassion above anger and resentment, and selflessness above selfishness", she stated. She urged people to forgive themselves, others and everyone.
"Everybody is fighting their own battles. Be compassionate to yourself and everyone else", she concluded her post.
Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on Sunday. His US-based sister, Shweta Singh Kirti arrived in India earlier this week after his demise for the cremation and last rites.
