GHAZIABAD: The Jassipura located Ghaziabad’s women hospital has been sealed after Covid-19 cases were reported from there. Hospital staff including chief medical superintendent who had come in contact with patients have been placed under quarantine and their samples sent for testing.

"The doctors and staff who came in contact with the woman while helping her deliver the baby included two doctors, three nurses and four other staff members and all have been placed under quarantine", added Tyagi.
Again on 13 and 16 June CMS Deepa Tyagi interacted with two patients in OPD both of whom tested positive. "Since I was dealing with these OPD patients there is fair chance that I too may have contracted the disease so I have also been put under quarantine", added Tyagi. "We are trying to trace other staffers in the hospital and for that we are taking help of CCTV footages to ascertain who all had come in contact with the positive patients and once we find out they will also be placed under quarantine", added Tyagi.
The chief medical officer NK Gupta said that sealing of women hospital will remain for a period of 24-hours only. "On Wednesday we carried out sanitization of entire premises since few cases were reported from women hospital, all contacts have been placed under quarantine and by Thursday noon the hospital will be de-sealed", said NK Gupta, chief medical officer.
