Haryana health minister,
Anil Vij said on Wednesday that a
Sero Survey will be conducted in all the districts of the state for a test named '
COVID KAVACH ELISA' to examine the community prevalence of Covid-19 in the state. Haryana is among a few selected states in the country for conducting this type of investigation.
Vij said that this test will identify the anti-bodies being produced in the body to combat coronavirus. In this test a blood test is conducted which will detect whether a person is corona-infected or has had any such infections before.
He informed that in the initial phase this survey will be started in NCR, hotspot areas and high-risk areas. Among them, priority will be given to blood screening of doctors, nursing staff, paramedical staff, police and other frontline workers of Gurugram, Faridabad and National Capital Region.

Haryana Medical Services Corporation, Saket Kumar said that it has been planned to examine blood samples of people. The entire cost of testing will be borne by the government. He said that this test kit has been developed by the ICMR-National Institute of Virology, Pune and is completely indigenous. It has been used in 83 hotspot districts of the country. During this period, more than 26,400 people of the country have been investigated, which has yielded positive results.
