17 Jun 2020 by Business Traveller India

Oman Airports, a government-owned company that manages and operates the civil airports in the Sultanate of Oman, has announced safety measures that will be implemented when operations resume.

Tech arrangements include installation of devices to disinfect luggage trolleys and baggage, use of personal sanitizing equipment and temperature check before entering the terminal. Frequent deep cleaning of airport facilities is being conducted and hand sanitizer dispensers are available within the premises.

Self-check-in procedures will be promoted. Floor markings and posters will remind passengers to maintain social distancing. Glass barriers have been placed at check-in counters.

In case a passenger shows symptoms of Covid-19, they will be taken to the airport clinic.

The aviation establishment has stated that international standards and regulations are being strictly followed under the supervision of Public Authority for Civil Aviation-Oman.
