LUCKNOW: State Lalit Kala Akademi, an autonomous organisation under the department of culture, would organise a painting exhibition on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to showcase efforts he made to bring 'industrial revolution' in the state and how novel coronavirus pandemic did not deter his zeal in steering UP towards industrial growth.
The paintings would, later, adorn walls of the Lok Bhawan and probably other government offices as well. "The paintings would also highlight the CM'sfunctioning during the Covid crisis," chairman RS Pundir said adding that "what the CM is doing is similar to what Chanakya and Swami Vivekanand had done for the country's development."
As many as 50 paintings will be made by artists from the state who would be selected for the project. Each of them would be given Rs 11,000.
"Each artist will decide his own sub-theme that will have to be in sync with the main theme 'sanyaas se audyogik kranti tak (from a person following an ascetic life to a personality initiating industrial revolution)," said Pundir. Kota students returning home; CM meeting migrants in Ghaziabad; CM visiting community kitchens to test food quality and his meetings with foreign investors could be the subjects for paintings.
Each artist would be given five days to send his painting. He would also have to make a video showing him creating his painting. The selection of artists is under way.
