Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic death paved the way for debates online and people began to talk about nepotism openly. Meanwhile, this has directly impacted the social media popularity of some celebrities, who have lost or gained followers depending on the side they have chosen to be with. According to a news portal, filmmaker Karan Johar’s Instagram account registered a drop in followers on Instagram, from 11 million to 10.8 million. Alia Bhatt also recorded a decline in her fans on social media with her Instagram profile now having a following of 48.3 million from 48.4. On the other hand, there has been a surge of social media followers on Instagram for Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor’s following went from 9 million to 11.8 million in the past few days.
